He’s at the center of a cheating scandal and I’m almost convinced that no matter what he does – he’s going to be the guy that cheated on his wife.
Reports are now circulating that he may have worked out a deal to silence the female he allegedly had an affair with. Deal = paid $1 million plus.
If a deal was made… Tiger might fall into the chump category with me. And I like the guy. He’s been a great roll model and done a wonder for the world of golf (which I don’t play), but to try and make it appear that he doesn’t have faults by paying off his mistress is whack.
I think he would get more respect from his fans by coming clean – and no, not by beating around the bush. If it is somehow confirmed that a deal was made to silence his mistress, I think it will do more damage to his brand than if he’d come clean.
And if a deal was made to protect his endorsements, you have to keep something in mind. The guy makes $100 million a year, mostly from endorsements, which means he also makes some larger corporations a lot of money as well. The situation would probably have to be very very bad for him to get dropped. There’s simply too much money at stake.
